The Sounds of Summer
The Lagoon Concert Series is a celebration of NoCo life! Live music from some of the best local bands is performed in the beautiful setting of Colorado State University’s lagoon-and the best part…it’s FREE! The series is produced each summer by the Mantooth Marketing Company and is made possible by the generous support of many local businesses, including RE/MAX Advanced, Inc.!
The Lagoon Summer Concert Series has been a summer event in Fort Collins for over 22 years! Help us keep the tradition going by attending Wednesday night and make sure to stop by our table for games, goodies, and a chance to win a prize!
Danielle Ate the Sandwich
She’s bold. She’s brilliant. Most importantly, she’s back! Danielle Ate the Sandwich returns to the Lagoon stage for the final performance of the 2016 season.
For those who have yet to proclaim themselves a “Fanwich,” here’s a brief introduction: An alum from CSU, Danielle Anderson’s music career started right here in Fort Collins. It was at local open-mic nights where she began showcasing her powerful songwriting skills and ukulele prowess.
She then began uploading simple videos on YouTube featuring her unique originals and masterful covers while demonstrating her trademark off-the-wall humor. Nearly a decade later, Danielle has:
- Traveled all over the world with her trusty ukuleles in hand
- Wrote music for the Emmy-nominated documentary “Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson”
- Obtained more than 40,000 YouTube subscribers and almost 8 million views for her videos
- Over 14,000 Facebook likes
- Independently produced five albums
- Wrote over 50 original knock-knock jokes…
More than 2,000 people will come out and watch her perform on August 3rd and it’s so easy to see why. She has a rare ability to connect with her audiences and perform in a way that is deeply moving.
You might cry, you’ll probably laugh, but if one thing is for certain, Danielle Ate the Sandwich will leave you bewildered by the inimitable talents of Ms. Anderson and her band. Did we save the best for last? We’ll let you decide.
